The full reinstatement of paving surrounding a series of pumping stations located within sensitive residential areas. Works included the installations of structural roadbase, asphalt surfacing, kerbing and management. Signature ensured compliance with all Water Corporation and varying local government requirements for all projects. The works involved collaboration over a period of months with both the prime contractor and multiple local subcontractors.
A series of smaller-scale repairs and upgrades to civil infrastructure including drainage structures, brick paving, footpath reinstatements. Completed in collaboration with other local maintenance projects as required to ensure minimal disturbance to residents. Specific management plans for traffic management and environmental concerns were prepared as required by our team of engineers.
The wood waste to energy plant (WWTE) plant aims to provide an innovative, resourceful and environmentally responsible way to remove waste from landfills and provide energy to the people of WA. Signature Civil has provided a series of facilitating works for this project including pipe conduits, overflow culverts and limestone retaining wall structures. These works required the management of the site regarding high-pressure gas mains and working within EMRC requirements. As part of these series of projects included the laying of 250m of overflow drainage piping Including the installation of 11 drainage pits interconnecting with existing facilities. This drainage network is vital to ensuring the safe operation of the sensitive equipment in the facility in heavy rain events.
The project relaying 880m2 of heavy-duty brick paving in front of the Walters River Café at the Point Walter Reserve located right by the Swan River. Tasks included carefully removing the existing paving, constructing a new limestone sub-base layer and relaying the existing pavers. New brick paving and subbase was laid around the changing room area to ensure a quality and aesthetically pleasing finish.
This project involved working closely with local café owners to ensure minimal disruption to services throughout the project including halting works while maintaining access to not compromise the business of the surrounding café.
Signature Civil assisted the City of Melville with their project design by preparing AutoCAD design proposals for a garden bed retaining wall and an access stairway design.
The project involved laying 1600m2 of several different types of brick paving on Sevenoaks St in front of the Queens Park Train Station. Signature Civil was able to operate within the small time restriction needed in order to facilitate works without causing major disruptions to local businesses. Due to the site restrictions in the area material storage space was very limited. Due to this Signature Civil liaised closely with the City of Canning’s preferred paving supplier to maximise delivery quantities but also minimise the space taken by deliveries.
As part of a large reserve revitalisation project undertaken by the City of South Perth, Signature Civil constructed a limestone block retaining wall structure around cricket practice nets. In addition, limestone stone pitching was also performed around the site to create an aesthetic finish to the reserve.
The installation of two pre-cast concrete liners and side entry drainage pit structures within the median near the busy Booragoon Garden City Shopping Centre. The project involved internally developed Traffic Management plan which required the project to carried out at night to avoid congestion for motorists and to keep all workers and motorists safe. Also involved was the reinstatement of the existing median and surrounding pavement structures including red oxide concrete infilling.
In addition to traditional civil construction projects, Signature Civil has also had the opportunity to test our skills on some more novel projects over the past couple of years. Such projects include:
· The construction of a life-sized chess board using coloured Quartz,
· Baseball Dugouts for the UWA Baseball team
· Facilitating works for the City of Nedland’s Safe Active Streets Program
